Reno, Nev. – Reno Orthopaedic Clinic (ROC) is now seeing patients at its new South Reno facility located at 10085 Double R Boulevard. The newest addition to ROC’s seven sites in Northern Nevada, the facility allows ROC’s team of orthopaedic specialists to care for residents of the rapidly growing South Meadows in their own neighborhood.

“As our practice has grown along with the community over the past 50 years, we have remained focused on quality orthopaedic care,” said ROC surgeon Timothy J. Bray, M.D. “Reno Orthopaedic Clinic has a talented team of physicians who are accessible to patients throughout Northern Nevada in our multiple clinic locations.”

Services at the new site include orthopaedics, pain management, hand therapy and physical therapy. Patients benefit from state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment such as Computed Radiography (CR), which allows ROC to capture hospital-quality digital x-rays that are superior to conventional film x-rays. The clinic’s electronic medical record system enables physicians and clinical staff to efficiently track patient information and securely exchange data with other healthcare providers.

With three locations in Reno as well as facilities in Sparks, Fallon, Winnemucca and Elko, ROC has made it easier for patients to be treated close to home, which is especially important to patients with painful injuries.

Dr. Peter Salamon is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon, who trained at the University of Michigan Medical Center, University of Wisconsin Hospitals in Madison, Wisconsin and Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. He completed a pediatric orthopaedic surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in London, England.

Dr. Salamon has maintained a private practice in Stockton, California, and is a Clinical Professor of Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California Davis Medical Center. However, all of us at some point in our lives will have an ailment with our feet or ankles that will remind us of their importance. There are 26 bones in the foot and ankle. We place one and a half times our body weight with each step. This can rise to seven times our body weight with running. We walk about 1000 miles per year. Each foot has to cushion as much as one million pounds of pressure per hour during strenuous exercise.
